Medieval Faire orginized by Kemptville College. OMSG and OSMAC will have a display booth and will be providing demonstrations during the event. There will be other activities, vendors, and jousting too.

The Medieval Studies Student Association (MSSA) of The University of Ottawa invited OSMAC to demonstrate historcially authentic combat of the Medieval European knight. We erected a tent chocked full of weapons and imagery and laid out our lists in the open air. Between heavy armour duels and technical demonstrations, we had a lot of great discussions with many members of the student body of Ottawa U and we really look forward to doing this again next year.

The 9th Annual OMCW will be held again in the woods and fields of the Woods Farm just outside of Spencerville, Ontario. This year will see armoured and unarmoured combat in the lists daily. There will be lots to see and do both for the Western Martial Arts crowd and the whole family. Archery, horsemanship, and epic bonfires! The tradition grows and strengthens with each passing year.

The Ottawa Medieval Sword Guild will be putting on a presentation for the History's Heroes / Lost Legends themed summer camp at the Dovercourt Recreation Centre. OMSG members will be discussing life for the fighting man in the medieval period and displaying the armour and weaponry of the late 14th century as well as wowing the kids with a display of authentic medieval martial arts.
Nepean, Ontario
Despite a forecast of thunderstorms, the Ottawa Medieval Sword Guild braved the elements to present its School Demonstration outdoors for the eager audience of two hundred students from SWC. The Guild brought a record four armoured fighters to present to the school and the crowd's enthusiastic chanting inspired the fighters to give it their all. Such a great series of battles ensued that Mother Nature held off her fury until the melee was over and the kids returned indoors.

Throughout the day, OMSG will be presenting and demonstrating historically accurate 14th Century European Martial Arts. Each day will see OMSG members displaying authentic battle techniques for your amusement in little to no armour. The highlight of the day will be a full-armoured demonstration of heavy combat.

Avalon Public School is holding an outdoor Medieval Fair and the Ottawa Medieval Sword Guild has been invited back for a second year. We will set up a booth where kids can see various kinds of period armour and weapons as well as ask questions of our knowledgeable members about the life and times of 14th century knights. We will also be perfoming several combat demonstrations with live steel for everyone's entertainment and education.

The kids will be treated to a display of armour and equipment of a 14th century knight. After a discussion of life in the middle ages, we'll dazzle them with a demonstration of historically accurate fighting techniques in full armour.

The 8th Annual OMCW! This will be the third year our annual gathering will be held at the Woods and McKee Farms just outside of Spencerville, Ontario. This year boasts a most historically appropriate pas d'armes in which the host, John Woods, will challenge illustrious fighters to duels several times each day of the event! This promises to be an epic weekend.
